John and his crew rode from Freehold, NJ, to the Brooklyn Bridge with a stop at the Elks Lodge on Staten Island. Pardon the condition of the audio on the recording – it was windy.

This was possibly the most emotional entry into a city in the entire trip – John’s mom, Judy, grew up in Freehold and his grandfather John Quigg was the President of the firehouse there. John, Tony, Mike and Melissa, John’s cousin, were escorted onto police-barricaded streets by about 15 emergency vehicles, including John’s grandfather’s engine.
